Moroccan banks mobilize to support flood-affected communities
The Professional Grouping of Moroccan Banks has announced its full mobilization alongside communities affected by the recent floods that hit several regions of the Kingdom, as well as economic operators impacted by these exceptional climatic events.
Banking support during exceptional circumstances
In an official statement, the group said that Moroccan banks continue to support their customers, both individuals and businesses, while ensuring the continuity of essential banking services in a spirit of responsibility and proximity.
Ensuring service continuity in affected areas
The same source explained that banks, in coordination with the relevant authorities, are implementing exceptional measures to guarantee service continuity in affected areas, notably through the mobilization of bank branches, ATMs, and digital channels.
Communication mechanisms and tailored measures
The statement also highlighted the establishment of appropriate communication mechanisms to inform and support affected customers. Exceptional measures are being considered on a case-by-case basis to help clients overcome the difficulties resulting from the floods.
